Description:
Valve is linear, becoming slightly convex mid-valve, and having broadly capitate ends; raphe is straight and filiform in a narrowly linear axial area that leads to a square to elliptical central area (features of this area are similar to Sellaphora pupula); striae in middle are radial, becoming radial to parallel at the ends; length is 20-22µm, breadth is ~4.5µm; striae count is ~24 in 10µm
