Description:
Valve is linear, swollen in the middle portion, with rounded, usually somewhat swollen ends (often almost as wide as the valve's median portion); axial area is broad, about 1/3 the valve breadth and covered with small granules; raphe is filiform, with distinct semicircular terminal fissures; central area is not differentiated from the axial area; striae is parallel or slightly radiate; length is 30-180µm, breadth is 8-20µm; striae count is 6-14 in 10µm
