Description:
Valve has a slight concavity to the ventral margin, dorsal margin is slightly convex with weak undulations (a depression is present in the middle part of the dorsal margin); apices are oblique to round; raphe ends are terminal, more ventrally located, with terminal fissures extending almost to the dorsal margin; striae are punctate (22-24 punctae in 10µm); length is 56-85µm, breadth (in middle depression) is 9-10µm; striae count is 9-13 in 10µm; this differs from Eunotia monodon because of the undulate dorsal margin
Notes:
specimens recorded are slightly smaller in width, and have slightly more capitate ends
