Description:
Valve is elliptical to lanceolate with bluntly rounded ends; raphe is filiform, with the central ends far apart; axial area is linear-lanceolate, widening strongly to a distinct central area surrounded by coarse hyaline space; distinctly punctate striae are radial; length is 9-28µm, breadth is 4-10µm; striae count is (15)18-26 in 10µm
