Valves linear-lanceolate with protracted, sub - capitate ends curved towards the ventral side. Dorsal margin convex sometimes flattened at the center; ventral margin inflated. Raphe branches straight. Dorsal striae slightly radiate, interrupted by longitudinal distinct costae which widened at the center. Ventral striae absent.
Common in surface sediments from Sprigger Bank, Florida Bay where water depth is < 1.5 and salinity ranging between 30 – 35ppt.
