Ecological Preference:
Valves linear-elliptic with deeply constricted valve margins and broadly rounded apices, 27-110µm long, 11-35 broad. Central nodule small, raphe sternum furrows close together and parallel, longitudinal canals linear. Transapical striae robust, slightly radiate, 7-8 in 10µm, crossed by straight or slightly wavy longitudinal ribs.
