Description:
Valves semi-lanceilate with convex dorsal margin and straight or slightly concave ventral margins, 50-75µm long, 6-10µm broad. Axial area wider on the dorsal side, dorsal mantel is deep with no distinct boundery towards the valve face, raphe parallel and cloase to the ventral margin with central ends deflected ventrally, dorsal striae very weekly radial, 10-12 in 10µm, the middle striae usually missing or reduced , not reaching the axial area.
