Ecological Preference:
Valves narrow, with smooth margins, widened in the middle of the valve with broadly rounded ends, 285-850µm long, 6-8µm wide in the middle part of the valve, 5-6µm wide near ends. Transapical striae very short, distinctly punctate. Pseudoraphe visible only in the narrow parts of the valve as delicate hyaline line, in the middle part indistinct, central area missing.
