Description:
Valves semi-lanceolate with acutely rounded apices, 29.7-49.7µm long, 4-6.5µm broad. Dorsal margin smoothly arched. Ventral margin more or less straight. Raphe filiform located close to the ventral margin. Raphe branches delicately arched dorsally. Proximal ends of the raphe bent ventrally, distal ends hooked dorsally. Axial area on the dorsal side narrow near the poles, but spread out at the central part of the valve, on the ventral side slender. Central area on the dorsal side big, on the ventral side it is bordered by the ventral striae. Transapical striae on the dorsal side parallel at the central part of the valve, becoming slightly radiate towards apices, 18-20 in 10µm. Ventral striae short, uninterrupted at the centre, parallel, 16-20 in 10µm.
