Description:
Valve semi-lanceolate with acutely rounded poles, 40.3-104.6µm long, 8.7-18.6µm broad. Dorsal margin arched, ventral margin straight to very slightly concave. Raphe filiform with dorsally hooked distal ends and simple proximal ends. Central pores well visible under LM. Axial area expanded dorsally, narrow on the ventral side. Central area on the dorsal side big, formed as a result of shortening of the dorsal striae; on the ventral side smaller and bordered by ventral striae. Dorsal striae slightly radiate at the centre, becoming strongly radiate toward the ends, 15-20 in 10µm. Ventral striae uninterrupted and strongly radiate at the central part, becoming slightly radiate and parallel near the poles, 9-16 in 10µm.
