Description:
Valve is linear-lanceolate with broad, rostrate ends; axial area is narrow; central area is a transverse fascia which almost reaches the valve margins; terminal nodules are transversely widened, clearly marked by the end striae which are thicker than the other striae; terminal striae are parallel or slightly radiate, while those toward the valve centre are distinctly radiate, short and irregular in length about the central area; length is 20-40µm, breadth is 7-11µm; striae count is 13-17 in 10µm (centre) to 26 in 10µm (ends)
