Description:
Valve is strongly dorsi-ventral, lunate with convex dorsal margin and concave to almost straight, narrowed towards rostrate obtusely to acutely rounded apices; raphe keel is weakly developed and marginal, with very coarse fibulae on ventral margin (40-70 in 10µ); distinctly punctae transapical striae (18-27 punctae in 10µm); length is 14-78µm, breadth is 5-12µm; striae count is 15-18 in 10µm
