Ecological Preference:
Valves are lanceolate with acutely rounded , pruced weakly capitate ends. Fibulae are spaced equidistantly, central nodule is absend. Length 27.5µm, width 5µm, 10 fibulae in 10µm, ca. 20 striae in 10µm. The species resembles Nitzschia aequorea (Wikowski 2000, Pl:210:14,15) but only from picture presented in that book. The species has less fibulae in 10µm and less striae in 10µm it is also broaded.
