Description:
The spesies is similar in valve shape to Navicula (Stenoneis?) palestinie. The valve is linear- elliptic with broadly rounded apices, axial area narrow, central area rombic. Tranapical stiae strongly radiate in the central part of the valve becoming less radiate towards the ends and parallel at the ends. Lenght ca.37µm width ca.11µm, 12 striae in 10µm. Two of the striae on both sides of the valve in the center are shorter. Description based on the speciment first time found in sediment from L31E project slide:1700, loc. 94 x 12.5
