Description:
Valves linear, somewhat retracted in the middle, narrower near the ends, with blountly rounded ends, 200-450µm long, 15-23µm broad. Transapical striae robust, parallel throughout the valve 9-11 in 10µm, crossed by two longitudinal ribs present on each side of the median line. Cell walls are distinctly chambered, the inner rows of chambers are crossed by the two rows of pearl-like puncta on both side of the median line, which are distinct under LM.
