Description:
Valves semi-lanceolate with protracted subrostrate to subcapitate apice, 21-24µm long, 5-7µm broad. Dorsal margin convex, ventral margin slightly concave. Raphe straight, external central endings delicately bent towards the dorsal side, axial area narrow, central area rectangular, appiring only on the ventral side. Dorsal striae parallel in the middle, becoming radiate towards the ends, 21-25 in 10µm, about 36 in 10µm on the ventral side.
Notes:
Collected from coastal mangroves near Biscayne Bay, from sites with salinity 20 -25ppt and water depth < 0.3m.
