Ecological Preference:
Valves semi-elliptic with acute apices, dorsal margin convex, ventral margin almost straight, 14-21µm long, 3-4.5µm broad. Raphe straight, axial area narrow, linear, central area in form of distinct transverse fascia reaching valve margin. Transapical striae not resolvable under LM.
