Description:
Valve lunate with sub-acute apices, 37-95µm long, 8-11µm broad. Dorsal margin smoothly arched; ventral margin concave. Raphe biarcuate, located close to the ventral margin. Raphe branches gently sloping upwards from the poles towards central nodule. Proximal and distal ends dorsally bent. Axial area on the dorsal side unilaterally widened, on the ventral side narrow. Central area on the dorsal side big, on the ventral side developed reaching the margin. Dorsal striae slightly radiate near the centre, becoming stronger radiate towards the poles, crossed by longitudinal line, which can be more or less visible depending on position of the valve, 18-26 in 10µm.
