Description:
Valves linear with broadly rounded ends. Dorsal margin arcuate; ventral margin straight or slightly concave. Raphe branches abruptly arched. Proximal and distal ends oriented ventrally. Axial area very narrow; central area on the dorsal side very small, on the ventral side semi-circular or semi-lanceolate. Dorsal striae delicately punctate more or less parallel near the center becoming radiate towards the ends; the central striae farther apart from each other. Ventral striae well visible under LM parallel near the center becoming radiate towards the ends.
Notes:
Rare on seagrass at Nine Mille Bank, Florida Bay where water level is < 1.5m and salinity ranges between 30 and 40ppt.
