The stations are located such that water level will never fall below the level of the sensors so that no ground or soil well is needed. The sensors are located approximately 5cm above the sediment surface, i.e., we are collecting our data from the bottom of the water column. Data are currently collected using a Hydrolab/Hach Quanta Transmitter. The depth is reported relative to the wetland surface. At zero depth, the wetland is entirely dry with water remaining only in the creeks and ponds. We use a pressure sensor to measure depth and the sensor is located in the deepest part of the creek sub-habitat at each site, i.e., it is situated at a location that never goes dry.
