Water depth was recorded at three spots using meter stick and averaged. Soil sample was collected adjacent to sampling area using a 5.3cm diameter plastic coring tube; soil depth was taken using ruler. Floc was collected at the 1m squared sampling area using a 5.3cm plastic coring tube; water was drained off and periphyton was removed from the top of the core before the floc was deposited into a plastic whirlpac.
