MethodsSampling Description
This dataset provides data from site near Gumbo Limbo Island, one of 6 sites in the SRS and was collected by Deng et al (team from University of Miami led by Helena Solo-Gabriele, reference in methods Citation).
Method Step
Description
Sontek Argonaut ADV records water velocities 3000 times in a 5 minute interval every 15 minutes, and reports that as an average every 15 minutes. Velocity measurements are taken in x,y and z directions that are referenced to true North using the internal compass.

Data missing in the following periods: Dec 1, 2004 - August 8, 2006; April 26, 2006 - June 15, 2006; May 6, 2007 - June 28, 2007; October 9,2006 - Jan 8,2007 due to equipment malfunction and data filters. Data from Jan - March 2007 also has values that are too high to reflect regional water flow at this site.
