Research
My research interest is primarily to work with an interdisciplinary approach to understand shifts from coral, and seagrass dominated communities into macroalgae dominated communities as a result of changes at global and local scales. My specific focus is on the distribution and long-term dynamics of algal communities in the Florida Keys, Florida Bay and Biscayne Bay; and changes in dominance between macroalgae and corals in the Mexican Caribbean.
